THIS IS A VERY EXITING TIME FOR US 2008
A covered individual talks to the viewer.
There is a paradox of not seeing the person, the mimics and the face, because video as such is a medium where the viewer - usually not seen at all -- has an advantage over the medium, being able to manipulate the VCR at any time (stopping, pausing etc).
Speech is subtitled, all for the clarity of the speech itself.
Are the words and the voice becoming more powerful when the speaker is hidden? Is there some kind of secret being revealed and emphasized since the messenger is in hiding?
Does the unconscious tell us to listen extra carefully, since there are life-threatening aspects involved?
Do you find yourself searching in the areas of that face for that human reconciliation?
The content of this monolog furthers the explorative aspects of the notions of perception, and further aspects of the viewer/receiver position in aesthetic spaces of perception.
